Heated CEM Probe / Filter Box

The CEM probe and filter box are ideal for conducting gaseous pollutant sampling. The probe can be hung from an existing monorail for traversing or mounted on a stationary stand for single point measurements. The arrangement includes:

  • 20 micron In-Stack, Sintered Filter
  • Heated Stainless Steel Probe (3/8" ID, standard length is 4')
  • Heated Out-of-Stack Filter Compartment (Balston glass fibre filter)
  • Mixing 'tee" for Calibrate / Sample
  • Dual Station Heat Controller
  • 115 VAC
  • 2 packages (35 lbs)

  • Inconel, high temperature sampling probes are available, but without the in-stack, sintered filter.

In-Stack Dilution Probe/Panel

The in-stack FPM Model 797 dilution probe and Cherokee dilution panel are ideal for conducting gaseous pollutant sampling from sources where moisture content or pollutant concentrations are too high for accurate measurement. Also, dilution should be used whenever highly water soluble pollutants are measured on a dry, extractive basis (?ie. HCl via gas filter correlation). The system effectively reduces water vapor to low enough levels that a heated sample line is unnecessary. The arrangement includes:

  • Dilution Probe Assembly (specify standard or high temperature)
  • 50' of Unheated Teflon Line
  • Cherokee Dilution Panel
  • (1) Glass Dilution Orifice and Graphite Ferrules
  • Shipping Size and Weight: 2 Packages and 50 lbs
  • Power Requirements : 115 VAC if Heated Probe is used

  • Various dilution ratios can be achieved by using different dilution orifices. Please consult your Cherokee representative on the proper orifice and dilution ratio. Also, experience indicates that having a spare orifice on-site is beneficial. Please note 90 psi of dilutent is required for operation of the system.

Cherokee Flow Control Panel

The Cherokee Flow Control Panel is a 19 inch rack-mountable device designed to distribute various gas streams to the components of a CFM system. The basic panel accepts 12 calibration gas inputs and a single sample gas input. The panel provides control to 4 instruments via solenoid valves and controllers. The panel can be controlled remotely via a Strata Data Acquisition System.

Basic Flow Panel
  • Solenoid Valve Controlled
  • 12 Calibration Gas Inputs
  • Supports 4 Instruments
  • Manual or Automatic Mode

Power Requirements: 115 Volts AC
Shipping Size and Weight: 1 Package and 10 lbs
Helpful Hints:
The Cherokee Flow Control Panel can be custom configured to your sampling needs. Note that custom configurations are a purchase only option. Please contact us to find out more about flow control panels.

Heated Sample Lines

Cherokee heated sample lines are available in lengths of 100', 50' and 25'. Heated lines incorporate a 3/8" Teflon tube for sample transport and a 1/4" Teflon tube for calibration gas transport. All heated lines include:

  • 100', 50' or 25' Heated Line
  • 20 Amp, Ventilated Heat Controller

Helpful Hints:
Sample lines are precleaned prior to each shipment.
Gas Chromatograph are cleaned down to <2 ppm
total hydrocarbons. Please do not leave a line coiled
while you heat as the overwrap may melt.

Power Requirements:
115 Volts AC
