Nozzles for Isokinetic Sampling
Apex Instruments offers button-hook nozzles from a variety of different
materials. A range of nozzle sizes is required for conducting
isokinetic sampling. The size is dependent upon the stack gas velocity
and the material is dependent upon the stack temperature and the
sampling method. The most popular nozzles are constructed from seamless
316 stainless steel and can optionally be coated with PTFE. Other
nozzle materials include borosilicate glass, inconel alloy 600 and
quartz. Standard sampling nozzles are 4 inches long and have a 5/8 inch
OD shank for attaching to the probe union. Alternatively, glass and
quartz nozzles are available with female 14/35 taper joint eliminating
the need for the 5/8 inch union. Other sizes and configurations are
available. Please note nozzles must be calibrated before initial use

Isokinetic Nozzle Sets
Nozzle Sets include a selection of the most commonly used sizes.
Packaged in a foam-lined carrying case for protection. Each set
contains 7 nozzles, sizes 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16. The case (SH-NZ)
can be ordered separately. Custom sets available.

Threaded Nozzle Set
Apex Instruments Threaded Nozzle Set
(NS-TH-SET) feature the larger ID nozzles for low stack gas
velocity and a buttonhook Nozzle Blank (NS-THB)
with a tapered fitting. The Set includes seven Nozzle Tips that thread
onto the Nozzle Blank. Sizes include 5/8",21/32", 3/4",13/16", 7/8",
15/16" and 1".
